(Providence, RI)--A Providence man is pleading guilty in a bogus check and bank fraud scheme.The U.S. Justice Department says Edmilson Rodrigues admitted on Monday to involvement in a conspiracy to defraud area banks by depositing bogus checks and then working to quickly withdraw the funds before the banks discovered the checks were fraudulent.The scheme took place in banks in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, according to the DOJ.Rodrigues is scheduled for sentencing in May.
