(Smithfield, RI)--President Trump announced on Sunday that Honeywell, which operates a facility in Rhode Island, is expanding to produce face masks for use during the coronavirus pandemic.Honeywell says it will expand its manufacturing operations in Smithfield to produce millions of N-95 respirators to contribute to the American stockpile for use to support health, safety and emergency response workers.The "N-95" designation means the mask blocks at least 95 percent of very small particles, according to the FDA.Honeywell anticipates that the new mask production will create at least five-hundred new jobs.
