Governor Gina Raimondo unveiled a brand new smart phone app at her Tuesday press briefing. The "Crush COVID RI" mobile app provides the following services:
- Information on where to find resources needed
- Schedule COVID-19 test
- Symptom monitoring
- Keeps a record of all places visited for more than 10 minutes, using GPS data. (Data is stored on phone only, and is not uploaded to cloud or to any company. Data is automatically deleted after 20 days. In the event that you become COVID-19 positive, you will have the option to share location data with the RI Dept. of Health.)
The governor also announced on Tuesday that child care facilities are slated to open on June 1st, and regulations and guidance will be released soon. The state of RI is providing facilities with 50,000 face masks.
