(Warwick, RI)--A Rhode Island Senate candidate says she was targeted by racist comments in a virtual town hall forum last week.Jennifer Rourke, who is a Democratic candidate running in the Warwick district, says she was bombarded with the repeated use of a racial slur and the message "get lynched" during the forum on Thursday night.Rourke reported what happened to her to the Warwick Police Department, according to The Providence Journal.She is challenging Senate Majority Leader Michael McCaffrey, who said in a statement that he was appalled by the racist attacks.
