Providence Adjusts Curfew Time, Provides Additional Guidance

(Providence, RI)--The city of Providence is changing the end time of its curfew to 5 a.m.The curfew, in effect until next Tuesday because of this week's rioting, begins nightly at 9 p.m.An executive order signed by Mayor Jorge Elorza also provides additional guidance for people who can travel, including medical-related trips, first responders, the press, people going to work, the homeless, and "patrons of establishments".The ACLU of Rhode Island notes that includes restaurants, and is therefore calling the city's curfew discriminatory.
