COVID-19 Update: More Workers Without Symptoms Encouraged to Be Tested

The RI Dept. of Health announced on Friday that is is expanding the list of people who are eligible to be tested for COVID-19, even if they have no symptoms. Restaurant workers and bus drivers are encouraged to get tested. In her daily briefing Governor Raimondo mentioned that just over 400 asymptomatic people are being tested daily, while the goal is 900. Anyone who does not have COVID-19 symptoms but would like to be tested can contact the RIDOH by calling 401-222-8022 to arrange a test.

The governor also said that the state is working on adding more test sites, with exact locations yet to be determined.
