(Providence, RI)--Providence Public Safety Commissioner Steven Pare [[ parry ]] said on Tuesday an internal investigation found no signs that city police officers engaged in racial profiling in a recent encounter with a black firefighter.Pare released a one-minute body camera video from one of the officers who responded earlier this month to the Messer Street fire station and drew their weapons on a vehicle containing fireman Terrell Paci [[ PAH-chee ]], who was in uniform.Pare said officers were checking out if the vehicle was involved in a reported attempted armed robbery. He said better discretion might have been used in the response, especially the decision by Officer Matthew Sandorse to search the vehicle after it was established that this was not the one authorities were looking for.Pare said Sandorse will be disciplined for not having his body camera turned on.
