Raimondo Speaks Positively About State's COVID-19 Trend, Teases Phase 3

(Providence, RI)--Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo said in her now tri-weekly coronavirus briefing on Wednesday that the state is fairing much better than others in the U.S.Raimondo said it wasn't too long ago the state was seeing a positive coronavirus positive test rate of twenty percent; now, the number is under two percent, and she also said by the end of the week, Rhode Island could become the first U.S. state to test twenty percent of its population.The governor said she is going to provide details on the next re-opening phase on Friday, Phase 3.Yesterday's briefing focused on how testing has improved in high-density urban areas of the state.
