LEO Bill Of Rights Task Force Membership Announced

(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island Senate is appointing members to a panel tasked with looking into possible reforms of the Law Enforcement Officers' Bill of Rights.The bill of rights is being reviewed as part of a nationwide racial justice movement after the death of George Floyd.State Senator Harold Metts, who sponsored the legislation to create the task force, the Rhode Island attorney general, chiefs of the Providence and state police departments, and the NAACP Providence president are all part of the group, which is expected to meet for the first time soon.
