(Providence, RI)--Brown University is announcing a ten-million-dollar endowment for Providence Public Schools.Brown says the commitment is part of a pledge made after a 2006 report on the university's ties to slavery.The fund will advance initiatives to improve teaching and learning in pre-K-through-12 classrooms, ensure access to high quality education for city students and will support the school district's turnaround action plan, according to Brown.
