(Newport, RI)--The Newport City Council is expected to consider a proposed ordinance change when it meets tonight.It would ban food trucks from operating on Bellevue Avenue.An ordinance passed in 2019 allows food trucks in general business districts.However, the Daily News reports at least one restaurant owner has complained about competition from a food truck.
