(Providence, RI) -- State Health Commissioner Patrick Tigue says he's concerned about a policy change for coronavirus patients announced by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. Citing the availability of vaccines, the company plans to start charging members out-of-pocket costs for virus-related treatment that had been waived due to the pandemic. Tigue says his office is examining options to address the Blue Cross decision.
