(Kingston, RI)--The University of Rhode Island is responding to an online article by one of its professors. Donna Hughes, the director of graduate studies in the Gender and Women's Studies Program at URI, published an essay in February titled "Fantasy Worlds on the Political Right and Left: Q-Anon and Trans-Sex Beliefs."The university said it does not support statements and publications by Hughes that espouse anti-transgender perspectives.
