(Warwick, RI) -- There will be a Gaspee Days Parade in Warwick this year thanks to hundreds of donations. They poured in when it was learned the parade was in jeopardy due to finances. The goal of 35-thousand-dollars was reached and surpassed Wednesday night. Gaspee Days commemorates the burning of the British schooner HMS Gaspee in 1772.
