(Woonsocket, RI) -- Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt is being sued for blocking two people on Facebook. According to the ACLU, the Woonsocket residents are accusing Baldelli-Hunt of violating their First Amendment rights. The suit says the mayor cannot ban users because she dislikes their opinions and that her personal page is clearly established as a government communications channel. However, the Woonsocket city solicitor tells the Providence Journal that Baldelli-Hunt has already unblocked the accounts, making the suit pointless.
