PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A man was assaulted and had his car stolen early on Sunday morning, according to the Providence Police Department.
Police said that the 21-year-old man fell victim to a carjacking near Poe and Oxford Street at around 5:30 a.m.
During the robbery, the victim suffered a head injury. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
The victim was driving a 2007 Black Kia, with the license plate 1DJ769.
Anyone who sees the stolen car or has more information regarding the incident should contact the police department.
