(Providence, RI) -- Providence could hit a heat wave this week, as we receive one more shot of hot weather before the end of August. The recorded high temperature at T.F. Green Airport Tuesday and Wednesday was 89 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast calls for highs in the lower 90s Thursday and Friday before a cool-down for the weekend.
