Rhode Island drivers are handing over a bit more of their hard-earned money these days to keep their vehicles running. According to AAA, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas is $3.08. That's up one cent from last week and is two cents higher than this time last month. One year ago, the average cost for a gallon of gas in the state was $2.15. The national average is currently sitting at $3.19.
