(Providence, RI) -- AARP Rhode Island is urging nursing homes to renew efforts to administer COVID-19 vaccines to residents and staff. The senior citizen advocacy group says it has seen a notable uptick in new cases among home residents and staffers. However, case rates in Rhode Island are below the national average. Currently, 92% of all Rhode Island nursing home residents and 76% of staff are vaccinated.
