Former Rhode Island Secretary of State Matt Brown and East Providence-Pawtucket state Senator Cynthia Mendes are running as a team for governor and lieutenant governor.
Brown and Mendes say their goal is to entirely overhaul state government which they allege has been run by the same corrupt political machine for decades.
In their campaign launch today, they also say they're running on a shared platform with 50 progressive candidates for various offices who are committed to making the state work for all Rhode Islanders.
