Beware - mail delivery is about to get even slower for people in the Ocean State and the region.
The Postal Service is warning of new delays beginning Friday.
This affects some first-class mail traveling long distances.
Instead of one to three days for delivery, it'll now be one to five in an effort to reduce shipping costs.
Customers can also expect a holiday price increase to start next month.
The postmaster general says the changes are part of a ten-year strategic plan.
