The Providence City Council is holding a hearing this upcoming Thursday to consider the firing of the city clerk.
This comes after an independent report commissioned by the council which determined Shawn Selleck created a toxic work environment.
Selleck was briefly placed on administrative leave over the summer as a result of an internal investigation by the city.
