A crime wave is under investigation at the University of Rhode Island.
Several cars parked in student lots on campus have been broken into recently.
URI police say valuable items stolen include cell phones, cash and wallets.
Students and staff are advised to remove all valuables and to lock their vehicles.
There have been no arrests.
