The National Weather Service says a strong frontal system will bring a period of heavy rain, gusty winds and a few embedded thunderstorms to Southern New England on Friday.
Southern Rhode Island could see gusts as high as 50 miles per hour.
The timing from the weather service for the rain to hit the Ocean State is early afternoon.
