The nation is coming closer to turning the corner on the latest COVID surge. Top expert Dr. Anthony Fauci predicts most states will soon hit the omicron peak and see cases fall by the middle of next month. It's already happening in New York and New Jersey but rural areas will take longer.
The Biden administration is giving Americans 400-million N95 masks, for free. The White House has confirmed the masks will be available at Rite Aid, Walgreens and CVS pharmacies nationwide. These are higher quality masks and said to offer more protection against the raging omicron variant of the coronavirus.
They're being pulled from the national stockpile, will be shipped to pharmacies in the next couple of days, and should be available by late next week.
