(Providence, RI) -- The blizzard conditions that got started overnight are expected to persist most of today around the state. The National Weather Service says at moments during the storm the snowfall rate will climb to one-to-three inches per hour. The NWS blizzard warning is in effect for the entire state until this evening when the high winds and heavy snowfall are expected to subside. The weatherman says Rhode Islanders can expect anywhere from just over a foot to two feet of snow accumulation with 40 to 60 mile an hour wind gusts inland and up to 70-mile an hour gusts on the coast.
