Two committees in the State General Assembly approved an extension of Governor Dan McKee's pandemic emergency powers on Tuesday.
Without action from the state legislature, a number of the governor's executive orders will expire next Monday, including school and business mask mandates and allowing cities and towns to hold remote meetings.
The full House and Senate are set to vote on the extension on tomorrow.
