A 59 year old Bristol man has pleaded guilty to one count of trading on inside information that he had about a Massachusetts company. Prosecutors say the Bay-State company was going to acquire a California semiconductor company.
Joh Younis entered the plea in a Boston Federal Courtroom. He was arrested in January of this year along with two co-conspirators.
Sentencing is set for June 29th.
The two co-defendants have pleaded not-guilty to similar charges.
Prosecutors allege that Younis, who was close friends with the co-conspirators obtained information about the acquisition that the general public did not have.
If convicted Younis could receive up to 25 years in prison and a $250 thousand dollar fine.
