Rocco Returns To Fenway, Twins Beat Red Sox In Home Opener

Rhode Island native Rocco Baldelli is back at Fenway Park this weekend managing the Minnesota Twins.

Baldelli was a member of the Tampa Bay Rays and one season with the Red Sox during his career as player.

He started off his trip to Boston with a big 8-4 win over the Red Sox Friday.

It is the first road trip of the year for the Twins. It’s the first home stand for the Sox.

The Sox and Twins will be right back at it this afternoon at 4pm for the second game of the series.

Sonny Gray will pitch for the Twins against Tanner Houck for the Red Sox.

If you are thinking there is another local component of this story—you are right. His aunt is Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt.
