A Rhode Island State Trooper has been involved in a shooting in Woonsocket overnight.
Police have said very little about the case.
They confirm there was a shooting at the State Attorney General has been notified as is the protocol.
What we do know is that the incident happened on North Main Street last night near East Street and involved at least some members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force.
State Police were expected to brief reporters on what happened last night. But that briefing was cancelled.
Police say it is being rescheduled.
