The state of Rhode Island has awarded a new medical marijuana license.
Mother Earth Wellness in Pawtucket will be in the same building as Kitchen and Countertop of New England and will be under the same ownership.
A lottery was supposed to give the green light to six new compassion centers in the Ocean State last year, but one of the geographic zones was delayed from having its new dispensary approved because of legal appeals from unsuccessful applicants.
