Westerly Taking Action Against Triple E

The town of Westerly is conducting spraying of mosquito larvicide.

It's scheduled to happen today unless the winds hamper the spraying operation.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management says the aerial application will cover five-hundred acres of Chapman Swamp and nearby swamplands.

This is part of the state's action plan to control West Nile and triple-E virus.
