Census Over Count Won't Hinder Current Congressional Delegation

Rhode Island's 2020 Census population is estimated to have been five-percent too generous.

According to a survey from the Census Bureau taken after the original count, Rhode Island should have lost about ten-thousand residents.

Instead, it was reported that the Ocean State gained 44-thousand people.

That allowed for the retention of two Congressmen rather than getting chopped down to one.

The current congressional delegation in Rhode Island is safe.

The news of the over count will not change the number of representatives in Washington.
