This weekend is another huge weekend for Providence as the 46th Pride Fest is returning after a two-year break because of the pandemic.
Event organizers say they have hired several different private security firms as well as Providence Police to ensure that the event will be safe.
The event comes about a week after 31 white supremacists were arrested at a similar event in northern Idaho last weekend.
Providence Police say they will be there in force.
More than 200 vendors will be at the event.
It is all set for the Providence Innovation District Park and the gates will open at noon.
