Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra principal conductor Bramwell Tovey has died.
The Grammy-winning Tovey, who was born in East London, passed away at the age of 69 after a cancer battle.
Tovey became the RI Philharmonic's top conductor in 2018.
The organization's executive director says this is a profound loss for musicians and audiences around the world.
Tovey died the day after his 69th birthday.
