Rhode Island could be getting its first heat wave of the summer this week.
The people in the Weather Center for us this morning are forecasting high temperatures in the 90s for the Providence area every day until next Monday.
The weather service says there will be an increased risk of heat exhaustion for people who are outdoors.
Meantime, Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza has already announced announced extended hours at pools and spray pads from noon to 7pm.
In addition, Cooling Centers are being opened as well.
