Former US Attorney To Investigate Lockdown Protocol At Providence School

The Rhode Island Department of Education is hiring a former U.S. Attorney to investigate a lock down at a Providence school.

Officials at Nathanael Greene Middle School were heavily criticized for waiting nearly an hour-and-a-half before they notified police about a possible gun on the property.

This happened May 26th, just days after the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

There was no weapon found at Nathanael Greene.

The review of the lock down is being conducted by Robert Corrente who was the U.S. Attorney in Rhode Island from 2004 to '09.

Corrente will review the decision making process and make recommendations.
