Hot summer weather is sticking around in Southern New England.
The National Weather Service extended a Heat Advisory through the weekend.
It's now set to expire on Tuesday night.
The weather service says heat index values will continue to surpass the one-hundred-degree mark today and tomorrow.
There are some wide spread showers and thunderstorms that are in the forecast but nothing like the drenching rains that are needed.
