It is primary election day in Rhode Island. Incumbent Democratic Governor Dan McKee is facing a challenge from a group of four which includes his Secretary of State, Nellie Gorbea and there is a Republican primary for governor as well.
Rhode Island Treasurer Seth Magaziner headlines the list of Democratic primary candidates for the 2nd Congressional District, which has become vacant due to the retirement of Jim Langevin.
Former Cranston mayor Allan Fung is running unopposed on the Republican side.
And voters in the city of Providence will select a new mayor on Tuesday, with three Democrats running and no GOP or independent candidates standing in front of them.
The Polls will close tonight at 8.
