Providence Traffic Patterns Change Due To Viaduct Project

Things are changing on I95 in Providence.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation has moved the Atwells Avenue on-ramp onto the new viaduct bridge on Route 95 north in Providence.

This is the final transition to the new bridge between downtown and the exits for the State Offices and Route 146.

RIDOT is urging drivers to take the on-ramp slowly.

The Providence Viaduct project is expected to be completed in 2025.
