The campaigns for Rhode Island governor are continuing to heat up in the general election home stretch.
Republican challenger Ashley Kalus earned support from a newly-formed coalition called "Democrats for Ashley" at an event in Pawtucket on Tuesday.
Kalus was endorsed by former North Providence mayor Richard Fossa and former House Speaker Matthew Smith.
Meanwhile, First Lady Jill Biden is set to campaign for incumbent Democrat Dan McKee on Wednesday.
Biden's schedule includes a visit to Rhode Island College.
