Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey is outraged after a reporter with the Washington Post created a verified Twitter account in his name.
Markey says the reporter paid Twitter eight-dollars and was able to set up the account with Twitter's blue check mark that indicates that the fake Markey has been verified.
Markey says the takeover by Elon Musk and the immediate changes he made are turning Twitter into the Wild West of social media.
Musk responded on Twitter by poking fun at Markey, apparently not concerned that the senator is on committees that oversee technology, communications, space and science matters.
Musk wondered by Markey was still wearing a mask in his profile picture.
