Lisa Baldelli-Hunt is once again the Mayor of Woonsocket. Baldelli-Hunt was sworn in for a fifth term on Tuesday night.
The Woonsocket City Council in October voted to remove her from office based on a complaint filed by one board member that accused the mayor of ignoring council directives.
Baldelli-Hunt promised in her inaugural address last night to push for changes to the unique city charter to prevent such a move from happening in the future.
Meantime, Governor McKee who was at the ceremonies congratulated the new mayor and said he was looking forward to working with her in making continued progress for residents.
