McKee Prepares For Tuesday Inaugural

Details are being released about Governor Dan McKee's inauguration.

McKee, previously the Rhode Island lieutenant governor who was promoted after Gina Raimondo's selection to Washington, will be sworn in for his first full term next Tuesday, January 3rd at noon at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Attorney General Peter Neronha will administer the oath of office using the McKee family Bible.

The event is being held indoors due to cold temperatures in the forecast. The last time that happened was for Governor Lincoln Almond in 1999.

The Governor continues to get ready for his inaugural address. He will have a series of budget meetings today. He is not expected to do any public events today.
