The alleged mastermind of the "Varsity Blues" college admissions cheating scandal has now been sentenced.
Rick Singer received three-and-a-half years in federal prison in Boston court, and he was also ordered to pay ten-million dollars in restitution to the IRS.
Singer worked with celebrities to get corrupt school officials and coaches to admit their kids into prestigious universities.
His prison sentence in the scandal is now the longest, surpassing the two-plus-year term given to Rhode Island native Gordon Ernst, a former tennis star and college coach.
