It is a big week for Governor McKee.
He is set to deliver his first State of the State as an elected governor before a joint session of the legislature tonight.
In that address he is expected to tout the successes of the past year, including the rebounding of the economy from the pandemic.
The Governor is expected to outline several proposals for tax relief that may center around the gas tax or the state sales tax or both.
He is also expected to speak about dealing with the state's homeless issues.
While the address, which is set for tonight at 7 is important, it is not the whole story.
How the governor expects to carry out proposed programs and ideas will be part of his proposed budget.
And, that is expected to be released on Thursday.
