Congratulations to a local woman who has done very well.
Rhode Islander Viola Davis has accomplished the "grand slam" of entertainment.
The Central Falls native won the Grammy on Sunday for best audio book, narration and storytelling recording for her memoir "Finding Me".
Davis joins the exclusive "EGOT" Club which includes Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Legend, Mel Brooks and Whoopi Goldberg.
The "EGOT" status means she has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony during a career.
Central Falls is the smallest, yet most densely populated community in the state.
