Rhode Island, and the city of Providence getting ready to do its part for the annual Army -Navy game.
This year it is set to be played at the home of the New England Patriots, Gillette Stadium.
Governor McKee was joined by Senator Jack Reed, a retired Army veteran, a graduate of West Point and Congressman Ron Machtley, U.S. Naval Academy class of 1970 told reporters that the city would be ready to host more than three thousand Mid Shipman and alumni during the festivities for the December 9th game.
The trio, along with new Mayor Brett Smiley say the event is a great opportunity to showcase the city to the nation.
As for who will win the game- Governor McKee made no bones about who he is routing for-- "I am routing for The Game," he told reporters.
The game is traditionally played in Philadelphia.
But it has been played in Chicago, Washington and New York from time to time.
