U.S. Labor Secretary and former Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is reportedly leaving President Biden's cabinet for a job heading the NHL Players Association.
The hockey publication Daily Faceoff is reporting Walsh will earn three-million-dollars a year as head of the NHL players union.
Walsh currently brings in 235-thousand-dollars and is expected to be announced in the new job this week.
The Secretary has not commented on any of the stories. He was the so-called "designated survivor" for the President's State of the Union Address.
That is the person who stays behind just in case something catastrophic happens during the State of the Union Address- in order to keep the succession of power operational.
