This wild winter continues to set records. On Thursday, February 16th, a temperature of 70 degrees was recorded in Providence, making it the fourth highest temperature ever recorded in the month of February. The daily high shattered the previous record of 60 degrees, set in 1910. According to Storm Team 10 Meteorologist Christina Erne, that old record was one of the longest standing records in state history.
However, things change quickly on Thursday night as temps drop back to a more seasonable range, with lows dropping into low 20s by Friday evening.
